As a Finance Planning Analyst, you will work closely with the Head of FP&A and support the Commercial team. This role is designed as a hands-on execution and analytics partner – facilitating the data, analysis, and reporting that enable better commercial decisions. If you’re the kind of finance person who would rather be in the room when decisions get made than reading about them on a deck the next day, please keep reading. 🛠 What You’ll Get Your Hands On Commercial Finance & Business Partnering Act as a strategic finance partner to Commercial teams, supporting day-to-day decision-making and long-term planning Own financial performance tracking for key commercial levers, including revenue growth, pricing, promotions, incentives, and margin optimization Partner with stakeholders to define, track, and explain commercial KPIs, ensuring clear alignment between financial outcomes and business actions Proactively identify risks and opportunities within commercial performance, and recommend corrective actions to improve profitability and efficiency Support evaluation of new commercial initiatives, partnerships, and campaigns by assessing financial viability, ROI, and payback periods Challenge assumptions through data-driven analysis, bringing an independent finance perspective to commercial decisions Translate complex financial analysis into clear, actionable insights tailored for non-finance stakeholders and senior leadership Support pricing and promotional strategies by analyzing discount impact, and contribution margins Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning Support annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range plans, with a strong focus on revenue, contribution margin, and commercial KPIs Build and maintain driver-based financial models to assess new initiatives, campaigns, and pricing strategies Performance & Variance Analysis Analyze revenue streams, unit economics, discounts, incentives, and customer profitability Prepare monthly performance reviews, highlighting variances vs. budget/forecast and clearly explaining the “why” behind the numbers Data, Reporting & Dashboards Develop and improve management reports, dashboards, and commercial scorecards Ensure data accuracy and consistency across finance systems and business reports Strategic & Ad-hoc Analysis Support strategic initiatives, including market expansion, new products, partnerships, and promotions Perform ad-hoc analysis and scenario modeling to support leadership decision-making 🧙‍♂️ The Magic You Bring 3+ years of experience in FP&A Sharp grip on revenue models, unit economics, take-rate, and margin – you know which lever moves what Advanced Excel / Google Sheets and zero fear of large, messy datasets Opinionated but constructive – happy to push back when the numbers tell a different story than the narrative Built to operate in fast, ambiguous, high-growth environments where structure gets built as you go You know restaurant economics, pricing, promo mechanics, and customer incentives well enough to know where margin gets made and where it leaks Hands-on experience with enterprise planning tools (TM1 / IBM Planning Analytics or similar) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus ✨ Bonus Points If You Have Experience working with large, complex datasets and turning them into actionable commercial insights Familiarity with enterprise planning and reporting tools (TM1 / IBM Planning Analytics or similar) Advanced experience with BI and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau) Similar Jobs Digital Credit Operations Lead @ Vodafone Full Time Accountant @ EIAK Group Full Time Senior Financial Analyst @ Qatar Airways Full Time Premier WealthRelationship Mng – HSBC @ Jobs in Qatar Full Time Financial & Operational Auditor @ Jobs in Qatar Full Time Apply for this job About us Contact us Disclaimer Terms & Conditions Privacy Policy © Qatar Living Jobs 2025.
